Our Mission

"Football Is Sexy" is inspired by one of the most-watched sports in the world. Made in the USA, our t-shirts and sweatshirts complement our First to Market Mobile App where we Talk & Teach football. Our mission is to unite people around the globe through inclusivity and knowledge…one fan at a time.

Monica Madrid
ceo and founder

Born in Martinez, Ca. (40 miles from San Francisco) Monica’s father grew up a 49er fan and made sure his daughter would do the same. “I pretty much grew up in Candlestick.” All throughout her life, many would ask if she would teach them the game and she did. She turned her passion of teaching the game into what is now known as “Football Is Sexy.”

Player:

Joe Montana - My dad's name was Joe and all of the birthday cards, and Christmas cards he ever sent me all ended with “ #16” before hashtags were even cool. Joe never lost a Super Bowl, won 4 championships when QBs were not protected the way they are now and he never had any deflate gates! Ha. Just Sayin.

Melissa chay
football analyst

Melissa Chay also known as “M-Chay!” Born and raised in California, just outside the Los Angeles area and went to college in the San Francisco Bay area, so her sports team loyalties got split! Her parents weren’t born here so she didn’t grow up watching football but as someone who loves fierce competition herself, she fell in love with the game as kid. She then taught herself the game by tuning in every Sunday and watching tv alone.

Player:

As a kid, I watched Brett Favre, the number one Quarterback of the 90s. I watched as he won 3 straight MVPs, won a Super Bowl, made it to 2, and threw for the most Touchdown Passes in the Decade making him my favorite player.

Sanaz tavassol
reporter & analyst

Sanaz Talso known as “SanazSaidSo”  is an an “emo kid” from Orange County Ca. Her father's love of the LA Rams and the LA Lakers got her into sports but to her fathers dismay, Sanaz would end up becoming a die-hard Charger fan! Sanaz would end up working as a sideline reporter with ESPN 3 and is excited to once again, be in the world of sports.

Player:

I like Antonio Gates because he was never meant to be a football player. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2003 from Kent State as a basketball player.  I think that speaks a lot about his athleticism and his overall talent. Antonio’s jersey was the first Charger jersey I ever got.
